Alex Gladstein

Chief Strategy Officer at the Human Rights Foundation

Alex Gladstein is Chief Strategy Officer at the Human Rights Foundation. He has also served as Vice President of Strategy for the Oslo Freedom Forum since its inception in 2009. In his work Alex has connected hundreds of dissidents and civil society groups with business leaders, technologists, journalists, philanthropists, policymakers, and artists to promote free and open societies. Alex’s writing and views on human rights and technology have appeared in media outlets across the world including The Atlantic, BBC, CNN, The Guardian, The New York Times, NPR, TIME, The Washington Post, WIRED, and The Wall Street Journal. He has spoken at universities ranging from MIT to Stanford, briefed the European Parliament and US State Department, and serves as faculty at Singularity University and as an advisor to Blockchain Capital, a leading venture firm in the fintech industry. He frequently speaks and writes about why Bitcoin matters for freedom, and co-authored “The Little Bitcoin Book” in 2019.

Will Weisman is the founder and Managing Director of KittyHawk Ventures, an early-stage frontier technology venture capital firm with investments in AI/ML, computing, networking, healthcare, longevity, space, fintech, security and more. Previously Will spent seven years as an Executive Director at Singularity University, a think tank / educator focused on leveraging accelerating technologies to solve the world’s biggest problems. Nathana Sharma

Nathana O’Brien Sharma is Faculty at Singularity University in artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and the future of law and governance. Nathana is General Counsel at Labelbox, a leading artificial intelligence software company backed by Andreeson Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, First Round and Gradient, Google’s AI focused venture fund. She advises companies and governments on the application of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence.

Anashrin Pillay

CEO of Risk Insights

Anashrin Pillay is currently the acting CEO of Risk Insights, with his primary role to serve as the leader of ESG GPS for South Africa, Africa, and the rest of the world. He previously served as Group Head of Investor relations at PPC. Anashrin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science and Statistics and recently completed his PGDIP at Henley Business School in 2020 with distinction.

Sam Radocchia

Samantha Radocchia, or “Sam Rad” for short, is an entrepreneur, author, engineer, and early blockchain pioneer and advocate who combines the mindsets of an anthropologist and a technologist. A three-time entrepreneur, Sam holds several patents, and is a co-founder of a company currently in stealth, working at the intersection of live-streaming and global payments. Previously, she was a co-founder of Chronicled, a San Francisco-based enterprise blockchain company focused on the pharmaceutical supply chain and automating payments workflows.

With over 40 years of experience identifying and investing in innovation, investment adviser Cathie Wood founded ARK Invest. ARK identifies large-scale investment opportunities in public markets, resulting from technological innovations centred around DNA sequencing, robotics, artificial intelligence, energy storage, and blockchain technology.

Tshilidzi Marwala

Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Johannesburg, author

Tshilidzi Marwala is the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Johannesburg as of early 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Mechanical Engineering, and a PhD specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Engineering. His research interests are multi-disciplinary and include: the theory and application of Artificial Intelligence to engineering, computer science, finance, social science and medicine. Tshilidzi has also authored 15 books on artificial intelligence.
